This is one of my first postcards.

Lithuania (Lithuanian: Lietuva) officially the Republic of Lithuania is a country in Northern Europe, the largest of the three Baltic states. It is situated along the southeastern shore of the Baltic Sea, to the east of Sweden and Denmark.

It borders Latvia to the north, Belarus to the east and south, Poland to the south, and Kaliningrad Oblast (a Russian exclave) to the southwest.

Lithuania has an estimated population of 3 million as of 2013, and its capital and largest city is Vilnius. The Lithuanians are a Baltic people, and the official language, Lithuanian, is one of only two living languages (together with Latvian) in the Baltic branch of the Indo-European language family.

Lituania (Lietuva en lituano), oficialmente la República de Lituania, es un país ubicado en el norte de Europa, el más grande de los tres estados bálticos. Se sitúa a lo largo de la costa sudoriental del Mar Báltico, al este de Suecia y Dinamarca.

Colinda con Letonia al norte, Bielorrusia al este y al sur, Polonia al sur y Kaliningrado (un exclave ruso) al suroeste.

Lituania tiene una población estimada de 3 millones (cifras del 2013) y su capital y ciudad más grande es Vilnius. Los lituanos son un pueblo báltico, y el lenguaje oficial, el lituano, es uno de los únicos dos lenguajes vivientes (junto con el letón) en la rama báltica de la familia de idiomas Indo-europeos.
