Tilburg

Tilburg is a landlocked municipality and a city in the Netherlands, located in the southern province of Noord-Brabant. Tilburg municipality also includes the villages of Berkel-Enschot and Udenhout. With more than 206,000 inhabitants, it is the second largest city of Noord-Brabant, and the sixth city of the Netherlands.

Tilburgo (Tilburg en neerlandés) es un municipio y una ciudad situada en la provincia de Brabante Septentrional, en el sur de los Países Bajos. El municipio incluye la propia Tilburg, y los pueblos aledaños de Berkel-Enschot y Udenhout. Con una población de más de 206 000 habitantes, Tilburgo es la sexta ciudad más poblada de los Países Bajos, y la segunda del Brabante Septentrional, sólo por detrás de Eindhoven.

Personalmente prefiero el nombre original de la ciudad que su equivalente en español. En este caso no varía mucho, pero en otros casos como Mainz - Maguncia (Alemania) el nombre en español me parece ridículo.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam is the capital city of and the most populous within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Its status as the Dutch capital is mandated by the Constitution of the Netherlands though it is not the seat of the Dutch government, which is at The Hague (Den Haag). 

Amsterdam has a population of 809,959 within the city-proper, 1,106,844 in the urban region and 1,569,300 in the greater metropolitan area. The city is located in the province of North Holland in the west of the country.

Mike sent this postcard thinking it was still 2013. It happens to me every year!

Ámsterdam tiene una población de 809 959 habitantes dentro de la ciudad, siendo 1 106 844 habitantes en la región urbana y 1 569 300 en la región metropolitana. La ciudad se localiza en la provincia de Holanda del Norte, en el occidente del país.

This is my first postcard ever! It is a photo card from the Photomuseum in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Daniël sent it to me to celebrate the first emission of stamps of the new king, Willem Alexander of the Netherlands.

Esta es mi primera postal recibida. Es una foto que forma parte de la exposición fotográfica del Photomuseum en Rotterdam, Países Bajos (mal llamado Holanda).

Me la envió Daniël para celebrar la primera emisión de estampillas del nuevo rey, Guillermo Alejandro de los Países Bajos. La estampilla es válida sólo para envíos fuera de Europa.
